Swedish Doctor Who fans finally get Series 1, as SVT http://www.svt.se brings the 9th Doctor and Rose to Sweden. Thursday at 8PM. |
Good news for Canada - The CBC http://www.cbc.ca/television has told the Doctor Who Information Network http://www.dwin.org that they plan to air Series 3 of Doctor Who beginning in June, with Torchwood following in the fall. This will be a much shorter wait than Canadian viewers had for the English language version of Series 2, which began in October and finished just over 2 weeks ago. |

Bad news for Canada - BBC Kids Canada http://www.bbckids.ca - the week of 12 to 16 March sees the 10PM Eastern slot pre-empted for Beauty and The Geek UK and the 2AM Eastern slot pre-empted by movies, with Doctor Who only at 5 or 5:30AM. Doctor Who returns to its normal time periods on 19 March. The weeknight episodes are going away for good after 30 March - Joan Of Arcadia takes the timeslots. No word on what will happen to the late Saturday and Sunday airings. |

A rare chance to see on TV the first episode of The Web of Fear, the 1968 Patrick Troughton story where the Yeti invade London. BBC Four is airing the only surviving episode of this story on Sunday 18 March at 8:35PM GMT as part of a night of programming celebrating the London Underground. BBC Four aired this episode a couple of years ago as part of a 60s TV theme week. |

Belgian Doctor Who fans - een has put the Series 1 repeats back on the air on Saturdays. Dalek airs at 4:15PM. Still no explanation for the interruption of the run and no sign of Series 2. |

After nearly 2 years, BBC Prime http://www.bbcprime.com has removed their note that they hope to acquire Doctor Who in the future. Best to assume that they will not purchase the series and focus on local European broadcasters. |

Public TV stations in the US continue their slow roll-out of Series 1 on free TV. KLCS Los Angeles, KERA Dallas, WILL Urbana, and WTVP Peoria have already premiered the series. 36 stations to go. |
